Journey Through 2022 in Grand Style

-

Right from October, there’s no way you’ll make up to ten scrolls on any social media platform without seeing any post that has to do with recipes or tips on how to make 2022 worthwhile.

On one of the days towards the end of November, while I took a stroll on the streets of instagram, nearly every swipe, scroll, tap and click had so much or its entirety to do with making plans for the new year. So I paused for a while, took a deep breath and began to think through my wins and downturns in 2021.

One thing I’ve learnt over time is that no matter how wonderful, bad or conventional a journey is, it’s important to evaluate what went wrong and what went right so as to make things better. Even the in-betweens and not-so-significant are important too.

And now, here we are, finally, in the long anticipated 2022.

By the way, please forgive my manners. Happy New Year to You. It shall be a year filled with good tidings and great returns.

Back to what I have to say,

“You can still pick up”.

You may be wondering why I made that statement since it’s just the beginning of the year. But in case you are still drenched in the euphoria of the New Year, this is to remind you that it’s almost a wrap of the third 24 hours of the year, already.

I’m aware that it is a usual culture that at the beginning of a season goals are taken seriously, plans are penned down and activities are carried out meticulously to ensure that these goals are smashed. And what I’ve got to say is that if for whatever reason you have missed out in the first three days, it’s still not late to start. Though there cannot be a replay of a time when fireworks are played unabashedly, when you can hardly walk pass a stranger without saying “Happy New Year”, and when “Happy New Year” is what our screens were filled with. Yeah, the year is still fresh but not in its newest form as it was in the early hours of 1st of January.

So for the things you have to do, except the ones that have to be done in a particular time of the day, don’t wait until tomorrow. Start now. Begin that great stuff you were excited about at the close of last year. Just start. Pick up from somewhere. Start.

And don’t forget to stay woke too.

With persistence but in ease,

Cheers to goal-smashing 2022!

Love,

Nulee💚
